157th Birth Anniversary of Sister Nivedita

The 157th Birth Anniversary of Sister Nivedita was observed at RKSM SNHM & KC by floral offering to the Sister at 9 am by the Matajis of Sri Sarada Math followed by Vedic Chanting and songs. Pravrajikas Pradiptaprana ji and Niramayaprana addressed the audience. The Museum was open from 11.30 am to 4.30 pm for museum visitors and devotees to offer tribute to the Sister. The evening session of this celebration was a Webinar on ‘NIVEDITA CHINTAN’ which began at 7 pm through Google Meet. Prof Chetnaben Mandavia from Gujarat spoke in English and Dr Malabika Basu from Dublin spoke in Bengali on “No one had understood Swamiji more comprehensively than Nivedita”. Sm Satarupa Roy and Pravrajika Vidyatmaprana presented their views on “It was the power of Selflessness and Purity that Nivedita embodied all her life” in English and Bengali respectively. The programme was coordinated by Pravrajika Nirbhikprana, Secretary, RKSM, Siriti. The Webinar was well attended with the capacity of 150 participants.
