Inauguration of Outdoor Display Unit

In continuation with the year long celebrations of the 125th year of Sister Nivedita's arrival to India by Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Sister Nivedita Heritage Museum and Knowledge Centre , Pravrajika  Vivekaprana Mataji inaugurated an outdoor display unit in front of the museum on 9th January 2023 at 4:30pm amidst the chanting of Vedic Mantras. The glory and the places of interest of Baghbazar will be displayed through this electronic display for the passers by so that they can understand the importance of Baghbazar. TATA Steel has financially supported this project. This was followed by a welcome address by Pravrajika Asheshaprana.

Pravrajika Vivekaprana Mataji enlightened the audience about the glory of our motherland India in the ancient times as well as the relevance of its rich spiritual traditions flowing down from the rishis to the present times. She further emphasised on the greatness of Sister Nivedita, an Irish disciple of Swami Vivekananda, “Who gave her all to India”, at a time when India was being tormented by colonial rule. Later there was an interesting interactive discussion with the college girls.

Prof. Sarmila Mallick Banerjee spoke about the chief traits of Sister Nivedita's character through interesting anecdotes from Sister's life.The programme ended with a closing song and distribution of prasad to the audience (around 70).
